About me

For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by sex and intimacy. And as I continued to spend time on earth, it slowly became clear first how complicated we as a society have made things, and later, that maybe it doesn’t have to be this way.

On a separate track, I realized that my calling was not making myself and other people more money (in various careers) but to work one on one with people, endeavoring to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those I work with. This lead to a 180 degree change from corporate life to a career in bodywork, specifically specializing in helping heal those who have experienced some form of trauma (defined as past experiences that prevent you from living the life you want to live and doing the things you want to do).

And then somewhere along the line things clicked into place for me. Sex and intimacy can be such profound sources of healing and pleasure, and yet, more often than not, such profound causes of trauma. I realized that if wanted to help people heal from past traumas, there was no way I could not include, and in doing so normalize, the erotic. To that end I completed Body Electric’s Sacred Intimacy training, in addition to my training in bodywork. I also owe a debt of gratitude to Betty Martin for her work on the Wheel of Consent, which has powerfully changed my life for the better. Beyond that I have been holding space for people in various roles and modalities for years, and this work is a natural progression for me in terms of accessing further modalities to help people heal and feel good.

For those curious about what I look like – I’m in my late 40s, mostly gray hair, 5’11”, 165 lbs, relatively fit, non-binary, AMAB, masc presenting (mustache included), tattooed, and have been called both cute and handsome (sometimes at the same time.) I think we’ll get along, but if after (or during) our exploratory call you’re just not feeling me, just let me know that you don’t think this is for you – there will be no hard feelings.

Who I work with

I work with people of all genders (specifically including transgender, nonbinary, and questioning folk), body types, and ethnicities that are at least 21 years old. Individuals, couples, and other relationship structures are all welcome. I work with a large variety of issues, and yet it’s possible that you might want to work on something I won’t feel well equipped to handle. In that case I will do my best to set you up with a referral who might be able to. I will not work with anyone who is under the influence of mind altering substances, including alcohol, during our session time.

For the time being I only make house calls, so you’ll either need to be able to accommodate that or rent an airbnb (preferred) or hotel room. I primarily practice in the Hudson Valley in NY, but am available for greater distance work as long as travel time and costs are covered.
